TOMORROW........The Sky Opens and Everything is NOT cheaper in China (Day 8)

Sunday, July 16, 2017

***First and foremost, tomorrow (Monday the 17th) after TWO YEARS, we take custody of our daughter Grace~Victory...and YES it is a VICTORY!!!  She will be legally our later the next day.  Please pray there are NO (absolutely NO) issues with anything.  PRAISE GOD WITH US!!!***

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We would have hoped to go to Church today, maybe a house Church, but...I didn't even realize it was Sunday until around eleven.
NO.JOKE.
We MAY be THAT tired.
We had a free day today and explored the hotel a bit.  It's beyond what we've ever seen before.  It's lovely, but I prefer my home that has it's idiosyncrasies and many many little (and big) feet...smile.
The Garden Hotel is unbelievable, but I feel a bit...hmmm...like I don't QUITE fit at this hotel. I'm not downing the hotel, but I fit into my husband's arms MUCH better.
We had planned to go out, but the sky opened up on us.  IT POURED!!!!!!!  I mean like "get out the ark" poured!
You can't really see how much it was raining here, but the side of the building looked like a waterfall in and of itself.  It's rained every day and we even got caught out in it later today.
We trekked to the local grocery store to get some water and such.
Amy snapped this.  THIS.SIGN.
There was a little robot outside and two precious little
girls talking to it.
As we walked back we heard some beautiful music playing.  The elderly woman below was attached by a stick to the man in back of her while he was playing a stringed instrument.  We found out later that he was blind.
 Watching him play was so moving.
Finally we arrived home with our VERY expensive stash...two cans of formula.  Hope and Grace both use this.  Hope's is mixed in with food and liquid.... as she doesn't drink.   We also got a large jar (?) of cereal.  Every thing is NOT less expensive in China (chuckle).  I paid around $80-$90 for all three...OUCH! (Smile)
Side note: It is all of you that made taking care of these little ones half way across the world possible.  THANK YOU!!!
Hope ate, napped, and we headed out again for dinner (and another quick run to the store).
As we headed back, the deluge started...and it POURED!!!!  We used a raincoat for Hope (that was in the little backpack they gave her) and umbrellas.  We came back with squishy shoes and were very wet (though Hope was dry).
We are celebrating tonight though.  Little miss had several wet diapers today.  We added more and more liquid to her food and it seems to hydrate her.  I also tried something different to get her to sleep tonight.  Her "scream crying" for hours seems to be centered on her knowing you are trying to get her to sleep (a fear trigger).  Soooo...I decided to lay her next to me in bed and pull her close, but do NOTHING to make her think I'm trying to get her to sleep.  I put my hand on her and didn't chat with her, but she played with her feet and then just conked out.  Even when I moved her to her bed, she didn't cry.
THIS IS SO GOOD!!! This has been a battle!
I really can't remember life with out her.  If we hadn't had to wait to bring Grace home, Hope wouldn't have been here too. God knew what he was doing.  I wish Grace was home a year ago, but I'm SO THANKFUL HOPE IS HOME TOO!!!
Now we have tomorrow.
The Heavenly Father said that we were not to look to the right or the left, but follow HIM.  He made this clear over and over again.  Tomorrow the beginning of following God is coming to fruition. PLEASE cover us in prayer.  We take custody of Grace at 2:30 pm (leaving the hotel at 2:00 pm).  This will be about 1:30 am Central Time Zone.
Your prayers friends, are being felt daily.  Thank you for joining us.  I can't tell you just how blessed we feel!!!!
GRACE~VICTORY HERE WE COME!!!!!!!
"From the Lord comes deliverance."
Psalm 3:8a
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please pray friends...

Immanent:
*THAT GOD IS GLORIFIED THROUGH OUR WORDS AND ACTIONS.
*For Hope to learn to suck/drink quickly.
*That she starts sleeping better and longer. That she relaxes into sleep without tears of fear.
*That her heart condition shows NO issues.
*For Hope and Grace's health.... and my and Amy's health too.  Please pray Hope's fever doesn't come back and my yuck (whatever it is) goes away.
*For Hope~Glory and Grace~Victory: Their lives have and will be rocked.  WE know it's a beautiful thing and blessing, but everything is unfamiliar.  We don't look, smell, or sound like her.  (Picture being handed to someone you don't know, have never seen before, and told they are your new family and to go with them.)
*Please pray there are no hiccups, paperwork or otherwise during this entire trip across the world.
*That Amy and I's bodies are strong and there is no pain and we feel AWAKE and ALERT.   Please also pray there are NO health issues period during our trip...NONE AND WE GET SOME SLEEP.
*Please pray the weather is unseasonably cool in both regions we will be in.  It's not the most important prayer, very possibly the least, but we appreciate it.  Please pray no matter what the weather it doesn't effect us negatively. (When I say "hot", I mean sticky, sweaty, steam bath, sauna, dripping wet, fogged up sunglasses hot.)
*Please pray for our kids and families hearts (ours too) and safety.  This is the hard part, leaving them.  Peace that passes understanding is a good thing.
*Please pray that there is NO lost luggage during any of our trip.  Though we pack a set of clothing in carryons, this is something we hope we don't have to face. (smile).
*Please pray for Tom, Elizabeth, and Alessandra that they find joy, new friends, and a beautiful rhyth in their new duty station.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE FOLLOWING TWELVE PRAYER REQUESTS AS WELL.

1. THAT GOD IS GLORIFIED IN EVERY STEP OF THIS ADOPTION (MOST IMPORTANT TODAY AND EVERY DAY).

2.  I feel a deep need to have everyone join us in prayer for the attachment of our girls.  Please pray they have NO attachment issues and attach to us as a family very quickly.  We pray that GRACE and HOPE have NO issues with attachment...NONE (that God prepares them as well).

3.  We ask for prayers also that Grace and Hope are good sleepers.  I know that may sound trivial, but knowing what can happen (we've had it both ways) we know if they can sleep (both in country and at home), transition will go much smoother.

. 4. For Grace and Hope, that they are healthy, loved on, and protected. Please pray that they dream of us and attach quicker than ANYONE could imagine.

5. PLEASE pray protection against ALL of satan's schemes.  He's been messing with our family and with Amy and her family.  PLEASE pray a strong concrete, cement, gold, silver (smile) wall between our lives and his schemes.

6.  That we have "more than enough" for this trip.  Please pray all trip plans to land within our budget.  GOD IS GOOD! We have confidence our trip will, but prayers do NOT hurt!

7. Please pray for Thomas and I's anxiety/stress.  Life is keeping us going a million miles an hour and peace that passes understanding would be very very welcome!  (Prayers for physical strength as well for both of us)

8. PLEASE PRAY THERE ARE NO PAPERWORK ISSUES IN COUNTRY AND EVERYTHING GOES FLAWLESSLY.  This is my current worry...pffttt.

9. That my traveling companion (Amy) and I stay well (completely) within country and are safe....not even a nauseous stomach which commonly happens at least once.

 10. That God uses us/speaks through us while we are there, see what we need to see and doing what we need to do.

11. That our families are safe while we are apart and that it is a peaceful (and safe) time for them.

12. For Timothy's complete healing...and that he has walking and running in his future (smile).  That his pain is minimal.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
