July 4th and FOUR DAYS!!!!

Over the years our family has grown and blossomed.  The Fourth of July has become a time of yearly pictures, watching how our family has been blessed through the years.

This year was a little rougher for me.  For the first time in twenty-two years our oldest son was not able to be with us.  It was an emotional morning.  My mama heart misses him.  He's a man now, serving his country and exactly where he is supposed to be though.

We had new additions this year too...and next year there will be two more.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bear with us.  This one will be long (smile).
2016/Newly Married
2017/Instead of a July 4th picture, I'm sharing a recent picture, since our oldest was not able to be with us today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As you know though, this year a new little bundle joined our family.  Since there is no family picture, this will have to do. (Smile)
This is precious Elizabeth holding their newest blessing. July 4th, 2017
Alessandra was making such a face here! (chuckle)

2017/ This is Tom holding Alessandra.

Now if I could just get one of the three of them!

I need to give Tom props.  He has a upper respitory infection and still stood for pictures.

In 2017 Tom (22) is dressed the most patriotic of them all.
He humored me and sent me a pic when I asked.
He knows this year is hard on my mama heart.

2016/The first year of Elizabeth's individual

family! YEA!!!

This year a new beautiful member of the family joined us.  Though I don't have an individual picture of Elizabeth this year, I do have some adorable ones of Alessandra (at four months old)!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had a beautiful July 4th (after the rougher morning) and hope you did too.  We went to fireworks (almost no pictures) and were able to enjoy time with extended family too. (Rocio and Nathan and all the kids)!!!
   Thank you  for joining us as our family grows and blossoms, prayerfully into what
God wants us to be.
Also, we want to say thank you to our precious neighbors for blessing our family with groceries tonight!  It couldn't have come at a better time.  God really worked through them as our time to fly out gets closer!
We continue to ask for prayer for our family and the upcoming trip.  It's pure craziness (preparing) as Amy and I get ready to fly out to meet the girls!!!!
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
    I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 9:1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

PRAYER REQUESTS: (They are now all immanent...smile)

1. THAT GOD IS GLORIFIED IN EVERY STEP OF THIS ADOPTION.

2.  I feel a deep need to have everyone join us in prayer for the attachment of our girls.  Please pray they have NO attachment issues and attach to us as a family very quickly.  We pray that GRACE and HOPE have NO issues with attachment...NONE (that God prepares them as well).

3.  We ask for prayers also that Grace and Hope are good sleepers.  I know that may sound trivial, but knowing what can happen (we've had it both ways) we know if they can sleep (both in country and at home), transition will go much smoother.

. 4. For Grace and Hope, that they are healthy, loved on, and protected. Please pray that they dream of us and attach quicker than ANYONE could imagine.

5. PLEASE pray protection against ALL of satan's schemes.  He's been messing with our family and with Amy and her family.  PLEASE pray a strong concrete, cement, gold, silver (smile) wall between our lives and his schemes.

6.  That we have "more than enough" for this trip.  Please pray all trip plans to land within our budget.  GOD IS GOOD! We have confidence our trip will, but prayers do NOT hurt!

7. Please pray for Thomas and I's anxiety/stress.  Life is keeping us going a million miles an hour and peace that passes understanding would be very very welcome!  (Prayers for physical strength as well for both of us)

8. PLEASE PRAY THERE ARE NO PAPERWORK ISSUES IN COUNTRY AND EVERYTHING GOES FLAWLESSLY.  This is my current worry...pffttt.

9. That my traveling companion (Amy) and I stay well (completely) within country and are safe....not even a nauseous stomach which commonly happens at least once.

 10. That God uses us/speaks through us while we are there, see what we need to see and doing what we need to do.

11. That our families are safe while we are apart and that it is a peaceful (and safe) time for them.

12. For Timothy's complete healing...and that he has walking and running in his future (smile).  That his pain is minimal.

TRAVEL SPECIFIC PRAYER

*Please pray that travel is uneventful and NO LUGGAGE/items are lost/stolen.

*Please pray we make the right choices in our last few travel decisions.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
