The Ambush of Memories

Today my clean/nesting frenzy has continued.  I have found gem after gem and I'm not done.  So many memories, not all of them easy.

I found many heart felt notes I had saved from when Jonathan passed away.  Reading them brought so much back.  No, I'm not swimming in a puddle of tears, but my heart was pretty tender this morning.

I also found many smiles.

This is my favorite.  My awesome hubby with his newborn son when we lived in Germany.

So many made me smile.  The picture below was taken after Jael's amputation surgery while she was still in the hospital.  The love there was just overwhelming.  Jael was four at that point.

Then you have mini G-Dawg.  That was Gabe's nickname because he'd put a toy in his mouth and growl like a dog.  The pic was slightly messed up, but none the less ADORABLE!!!  He had to be about 11 months here.

Here's one of Tom.  Oh my...PRECIOUS TOM at five years old, now married with a little one of his own.

Now here is a beautiful memory.  This is our family  (Rick and Misty) holding Tom as a newborn. They had just met him for the first time.  How could those years have passed so quickly?!!!

I even found this picture of Bekah just before we adopted her.  She was in a wonderful and small orphanage in Ethiopia.  She was around a year old here.

Finally, a picture of  Sarah and I.  Sarah had to be around six or so, which makes me around thirty.

Anna's picture reminds me so much of Isabella!  She was one here.

So today I was ambushed with memories.  With so many pictures destroyed by fire in 2012, each and every picture we found was treasured.

And yes, as you've probably guessed, funds keep coming in for Hope and Grace...almost every day.  Since my post yesterday $300 was donated by two precious people.  We stand amazed.  Thank you Lord! Thank you friends!!! We now only need $2, 590 to be fully funded!  Grace and Hope, we are so close!!!

I'm hoping I'm not boring you with all our random crazy memories....but my heart is full tonight, though I admit being a little batty waiting for our Travel Approval to come in.

It didn't come in yesterday or today, so....batty. (Please pray it comes in!)

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
    your faithfulness to the skies.

Psalm 36:5

Thank you for answering the call that will change the life of two little girls and our family forever.

Thank you for the sacrifice...just thank you.

Several have asked about our needs for the girls.  We've been hesitant to share since getting the girls home has to be our first priority.  We do have a baby registry with items needed and though not posting the link on here, you can email us at 1thomkat (at) verizon (dot) net .  We thank you as well for thinking about our girls needs.  Again, our absolute first priority is bringing them home.

PRAYER REQUESTS: (They are now all immanent...smile)

1. THAT GOD IS GLORIFIED IN EVERY STEP OF THIS ADOPTION.

2.  I feel a deep need to have everyone join us in prayer for the attachment of our girls.  Please pray they have NO attachment issues and attach to us as a family very quickly.  We have been in the adoption world enough to know severe attachment issues exist.  We pray that GRACE and HOPE have NO issues with attachment...NONE (that God prepares them as well).

. 3. For Grace and Hope, that they are healthy, loved on, and protected. Please pray that they dream of us and attach quicker than ANYONE could imagine.

4.  That we have "MORE THAN ENOUGH" for this trip.  PLEASE PRAY FOR $2,590 in less than THREE WEEKS and please pray for those individuals God is touching to help us financially bring home the girls.

5. Please pray for Thomas and I to see clearly where God is leading and what WE are to do.

6.  Please pray that I can fully recover and can gain strength before travel comes (both Thomas and I on the last part...physical strength)

7. That my traveling companion (Amy) and I stay well (completely) within country and are safe....not even a nauseous stomach which commonly happens at least once.

 8. That God uses us/speaks through us while we are there, see what we need to see and doing what we need to do.

9. That our families are safe while we are gone and that it is a peaceful (and safe) time for them.

10. For Timothy's complete healing...and that he has walking and running in his future (smile).  That his pain is minimal.

11. Please pray for the Stewart family as they mourn the loss of their father, grandfather, and great grandfather, uncle, brother, and loved one.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
