Just a Little Bit....A Picnic, Praises, and Thank You

Just a little bit of fun..,

Saturday started with THESE coming in the mail.  My friend Yvonne knows me.  I've known her since college.  Flickin' Chickens shoot GREAT and are very entertaining.  (We have AT LEAST one stuck to the ceiling.)

The Flickin' Chicken war may now commence.  This is serious stuff.

The kids were also able to enjoy a neighborhood picnic our Church hosted.  So many people with a willing and serving spirit there.  They really are our family...our village.

They had to throw the ball through the chairs.  The above was a
strategy meeting.

They then hit the bouncy house.  I love
Rachel's face in these.  I have MANY
more pictures.  She cracks me up!

This is a couple wonderful girls from our youth group (Laney and Bridget) and
a sweet little guy named Martin.

LOVE how Rachel just acts as
a big sister to Ben!

One of our favorite people Bridget and Jael.

Timothy couldn't do a lot, but he enjoyed every minute....especially
all the snacks!

Max (14), and two more guys we adore,
Reid and Bryan.

I had to add the above picture, just because I loved it.

Our goofy sixteen year old Anna (smile).  LOVE HER!!!

Today, two years ago, we were blessed with a 2015 Ford Transit 350.  We are forever thankful to AutoNation for keeping our kids safe and giving us a vehicle that has walked through two marriages, two precious granddaughters, the adoption of Timothy, hospitalizations and many medical appointments, and now the adoption of Grace and Hope.  If anyone from AutoNation is reading this, THANK YOU!!!!

This week, June 8th to be exact, our adoption agency representative in our girls country picks up the last main form we need to wait for a travel date (or our TA/Travel Approval).  I'm nervous.  Our timeline is short (maybe 5 weeks) and it almost hurts how much I want our girls in our arms.

(Yes, I'm nervous...just for this paper...chuckle.)

Please continue to pray for the last funds! We are down to needing the last $4300. Thank you for joining us on this adventure and praying for us friends!

God may be talking to someone right now about us... or even you. He may be asking someone to sacrifice beyond what's comfortable.  Oh, we REALLY "get" it.  That's hard stuff!   I don't know who it is, but please pray for them as well.  Also, please pray if Thomas or I are supposed to act in a specific way, we see clearly the direction.  Our Heavenly Father has floored us many times...touching people we may not even know...out of the blue.   Thank you for joining us on this journey and praying us through.  We've placed prayer requests below.

"...for every animal of the forest is mine,

and the cattle on a thousand hills."

Psalm 50:10

Prayer Requests and Praises:

PRAISE: Our Heavenly Father's timing, through our groaning at times, SHINES.  HE KNOWS the perfect timing.  We have received two grants.  Our delays have even blessed us.  PLEASE PRAISE HIM FOR HOW FAR HE HAS BROUGHT US!!!!
PLEASE THANK GOD AHEAD OF TIME FOR HIS PROVISION.  PLEASE STAND IN FAITH AND CONFIDENCE WITH US.

IMMEDIATE:
1.  I feel a deep need to have everyone join us in prayer for the attachment of our girls.  Please pray they have NO attachment issues and attach to us as a family very quickly.  We have been in the adoption world enough to know severe attachment issues exist.  We pray that GRACE and HOPE have NO issues with attachment...NONE (that God prepares them as well).
2.  PLEASE PRAY FOR $4,300 in FIVE WEEKS.
3.  Please pray for those individuals God is touching to help us financially bring home the girls.
4. Please pray for Thomas and I to see clearly where God is leading and what WE are to do.
5. Please pray for the Stewart family as they mourn the loss of their father, grandfather, and great grandfather, uncle, brother, and loved one.
6.  Please pray that I can fully recover and can gain strength before travel comes (both Thomas and I on the last part...physical strength).

OTHER PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please Pray...
\
FOR GOD TO BE GLORIFIED IN THIS JOURNEY
1. For Timothy's complete healing...and that he has walking and running in his future (smile).  That his pain is minimal.
2. For Grace and Hope, that they are healthy, loved on, and protected. Please pray that they dream of us and attach quicker than ANYONE could imagine.
3. Please also pray for Thomas and I. Please pray we can use this time before travel to gain physical strength.
4. Lastly, we have several expenses that we normally would have taken care of with our tax return, but couldn't this year. Could you please pray for God's provision for these expenses...and the things we still need to gather for the girls.  This isn't typical...unless we are in the adoption process...lol.  Please pray GOD shows up in a big way here!
5.  That we hear from ONE grant we have yet to hear from.  Some wonderful smaller grants
don't communicate as much.
6. That my traveling companion (Amy) and I stay well (completely) within country and are safe.
 7. That God uses us/speaks through us while we are there, see what we need to see and doing what we need to do.
8. That our families are safe while we are gone and that it is a peaceful time for them.

If God is talking to you about our girls...about helping to bring them home.....
You can email us at 1thomkat(at)verizon(dot)net and we will share our address.  We have also kept our LifeSong for Orphans open if that avenue is better (For Grace and Hope).  Even our PayPal address is okay to use (using the Family and Friends method to 1thomkat(at)verizon(dot)net).  Whatever you feel comfortable with...thank you.  Thank you for answering the call that will change the life of two little girls and our family forever.  Thank you for the sacrifice...just thank you.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
