A Voice Beyond Me

I never really realized how important a voice was until I started trying to recover mine.  Though I'm beyond the "frog level" in voice recovery, I'm still struggling with a pubescent Oscar the Grouch sound coming from my throat.  It's gravelly, will still crack at times, and it's like I have to push harder just to talk.

I think I may institute "the whisper" for a couple days to see if I can get it back.

I miss praising (in song) the most I think.  Now, I didn't say I could sing, but that I LOVE to.  I find myself mouthing the words (and dwelling on them) more than actual singing now.  That may not be a bad thing (at least for the people around me...chuckle).

We have so many people giving sacrificially, that I just want to spend some time singing praises to my Savior.  From a little girl giving $15 that she earned, to a blessing of $20 coming in yesterday, to $800 coming in today from two different dear ones....we are blown away by each and every heart.  I can stand in confidence saying Grace and Hope WILL come home.

Our Heavenly Father is stirring hearts.  I can almost picture the waters stirring, rippling waves, around us.

Thank you Heavenly Father.

I would love to sing to HIM...praise HIM.

Still waiting on that voice though.

Until then, I will thank Him.

We thank each and every one of you as well.  You are sacrificing funds that would make things easier on you, that could be used for something needed, even a much needed time to relax with your family.  (We all need that at times.)

Yet, you think of our girls.

Thank you....

This week MAY be BIG.  We pray it is.  Even with $3140 still needed to (we believe) be fully funded, we are praying that TOMORROW we get our Travel Approval.  This would enable us to get a consulate date and get flights as soon as possible.  We have some choice (to an extent) in when we travel.  We hope to travel around July 2nd (to be back BY July 22nd).

In order to do this we need our Travel Approval ASAP.  Yes, we still need the funds for in country, but we trust God in this.

Can you please pray with us that we receive Travel Approval tomorrow

Thank you....

On a really cool note, two years ago we went to a free outdoor concert and heard Toby Mac sing his (then about to be released) new song "Beyond Me".  I remember thinking that was exactly where we were at.  It was all beyond me.  We couldn't seek Timothy and Grace (we had yet to see Hope) without HIM.  It was just too big.  I think some may think if God asks you to do something beyond you, it can't be him that's asking.  We all need to think differently.

Faith takes hold when we are asked to do things beyond us...beyond our ability...beyond our finances...beyond anything we can fathom.

It may be beyond us, but it is not beyond our Father in Heaven.

God brought Timothy home a year ago.  It was beyond us.  We are about three weeks from traveling for Grace and Hope.  It was beyond us, still is.  He's provided a way to those stars that He placed out of our reach (see the song below).  He's still providing.

That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
I Timothy 4:10

If you hear God nudging your heart or speaking to your spirit about helping bring our girls home....

*Feel free to share our need with anyone God leads you to.  We now only need $3140!  We broke that $4000 barrier and $800 was given today!!!

*You can email us at 1thomkat(at)verizon(dot)net and we will share our phone number (if you'd like to chat) or  address.

*The LifeSong for Orphans online account has been left open until Tuesday, June 13th (when it will be closed) IF that avenue is better (For Grace and Hope).  It IS tax deductible.  There may not be time to mail a check directly to LifeSong, have it processed there, and have it sent to us though.  Giving through them online has a small fee taken out, but is quicker.  Our total will need to reach $11,000 on LifeSong to be fully funded.

*Our PayPal address can be used (using the "Family and Friends" method) to 1thomkat(at)verizon(dot)net.

*If you have an idea that may help, please feel free to email us as well. We never know how God may work!!!

Whatever avenue you feel comfortable with, thank you.
Thank you for answering the call that will change the life of two little girls and our family forever.

Thank you for the sacrifice...just thank you.

PRAYER REQUESTS: (They are now all immanent...smile)

1. THAT GOD IS GLORIFIED IN EVERY STEP OF THIS ADOPTION.

2.  I feel a deep need to have everyone join us in prayer for the attachment of our girls.  Please pray they have NO attachment issues and attach to us as a family very quickly.  We have been in the adoption world enough to know severe attachment issues exist.  We pray that GRACE and HOPE have NO issues with attachment...NONE (that God prepares them as well).

. 3. For Grace and Hope, that they are healthy, loved on, and protected. Please pray that they dream of us and attach quicker than ANYONE could imagine.

4.  That we have "MORE THAN ENOUGH" for this trip.  PLEASE PRAY FOR $3,140 in THREE WEEKS and please pray for those individuals God is touching to help us financially bring home the girls.

5. Please pray for Thomas and I to see clearly where God is leading and what WE are to do.

6.  Please pray that I can fully recover and can gain strength before travel comes (both Thomas and I on the last part...physical strength)

7. That my traveling companion (Amy) and I stay well (completely) within country and are safe....not even a nauseous stomach which commonly happens at least once.

 8. That God uses us/speaks through us while we are there, see what we need to see and doing what we need to do.

9. That our families are safe while we are gone and that it is a peaceful (and safe) time for them.

10. For Timothy's complete healing...and that he has walking and running in his future (smile).  That his pain is minimal.

11. Please pray for the Stewart family as they mourn the loss of their father, grandfather, and great grandfather, uncle, brother, and loved one.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
