10:00 am Surgery and the BEAUTIFUL Surprise (Day 6 of 13)

I know I left things hanging last night.  I have a feeling most of you know.

I was walking through Walmart and my phone dinged.  I assumed someone texted.  I forgot I was email stalking and had alerts set.

After a day of waiting, and gut twisting...begging God for our next paper from Grace and Hope's country, I had given up that it would come that day.    A family had been told no just this last week.  I was afraid of getting THAT email as Timothy was going through surgery.   I don't know that I had truly begged God until yesterday.  I begged for it to come.  It was 6:00 pm and I figured Monday was NOT going to happen for these little girls.

These pictures were taken almost two years ago and are the only ones we have of Grace.

Glory's picture was taken over a year ago.  It's the last
one taken that we have seen.

I apparently was WRONG.

In the middle of Walmart in Audubon, New Jersey....the email came.  We have the Letter of Acceptance for Grace~Victory and Hope~Glory.  Though the adoption has not taken place, this paper gave us the official permission to adopt our daughters!!!!  This is the part we've been waiting for!!!

There are more steps, OH YES....BUT THEY ARE OURS!!! (Now to get them in our arms!)

We are doing the happy dance end zone boogie around here!!!!

By the time we travel, we will have seen Grace's face for two years...TWO YEARS.  When her file was not ours a social worker (not with our current agency) said something I will never forget.  She said, "Well, we can find another little girl with Down Syndrome for you.  There's always a lot on the list."   She didn't understand.  She didn't understand that we knew Grace~Victory was our daughter. What a heart breaking thought.....so many waiting.

Now is the time.  It's time for us to bring them home.  We MAY travel within two months.  We need to raise funds quick.  Our first goal is to match the matching grant of $4000.  We need to go beyond that now...quickly.  We are not allowed to donate to our own matching grant.  LifeSong for Orphans wants others involved.  They want others to stand with adopting families.

Please consider helping two little girls come home.  We're doing what we can do.  We need your help.  A third of my heart is with two little girls who aren't even with each other, but in separate regions.  One is with a foster family (Hope~Glory).  We've heard wonderful stories and nightmarish stories.  Grace~Victory is in a massive...HUGE...orphanage.  They are doing what they can, but there are no therapies and there are many many children.

It's time to have our family all on one continent.  Please pray with us.  Please stand with us.

If you wish to give, money can be donated online at the "matching grant" link below or a check can be sent (with our family name and number on it) directly to LifeSong for Orphans.  The directions are on the same link.

Tomorrow is Timothy's big day...

Timothy and Elizabeth today

He has been very nervous today.  He gets loud and starts laughing a lot when nervous.  Though Timothy doesn't really understand what surgery is, but we have explained about going to sleep (he's done that before) and the cast he will have when he wakes up.  He also knows it won't feel good, but that I have surprises for him,The biggest thing we've told him repeatedly is that all of this is being done so he can walk.

At ten o'clock tomorrow morning (EST), Timothy will have surgery.  They had cancellations, so they moved him to the morning.

The surgery is supposed to be about four hours long, but may go longer if they go in and find out there is more they need to do.

We leave here at seven in the morning to be at the hospital by eight.

Please pray.....

Here are  our prayer requests:

*For Timothy...period.,,
*Please pray for our teen's friend "M".  Please ask God to heal her.

General Medical Trip Prayer Requests:
*That the surgery goes better than ever expected and that God guides the surgeons hands and decisions (Dr. VB and all those present).
*That there is minimal blood loss.
*That the casting is the least of extremes necessary (NOT the splits position) and there is no swelling.
*That pain is less than expected and managed well.
*That there is no issue with anesthesia*For Timothy to emotionally do well through this, trusting us.
*For healing to be thorough and no further surgeries necessary for his hips.
*For the trip back to be "doable" and very uneventful.
*I ask for prayers as well, for me.  Please pray I make the right decisions and am able to rest and stay well.  I think a prayer for strength would be wonderful as well.
*Please pray for the family at home to stay safe and for it to be a peaceful time for them.

*Please pray God touches hearts and we can meet this matching grant in the next few weeks.
*Please pray God protects Grace and Glory and they attach to us more quickly than anyone expects.

*Please pray for the Smith family at the loss of their precious Daniel.
*Please pray for the Irons family as they loss their son Auggie unexpectedly.
*Please pray for the Kelly family.  This young family suffered the loss of the mother, father, and two of their children.  Please pray for their two remaining children and grandmother who survived the fire.  I cannot imagine.
*Please pray for my friend "M" who has a new blessing and is in the process of transition.  Please pray for NO hiccups between the many parties involved.
*Please pray for my friend "K" and her husband and child.  They are at the date of when their baby should've been born (who went to be with Jesus).
*Please pray for many in the battle of discouragement/feeling of failure.  This seems to be the tactic the master of lies is using with MANY right now.  It's dark and a twisting that satan likes to do.  Please pray protection for all those facing this right now.
*Please pray for Brandi (someone precious to me) who is facing surgery on her leg right now, that it goes perfectly.

God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship
with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
