What's Left?

In every adoption, as we get closer to travel, we share our needs here on the blog.  Some we can't share publicly and we have prayer warriors praying over these specific needs.

It has hit me that we may travel in as little as three weeks from Monday.

I had to take a deep breath when saying that.  I feel like we are no where near as prepared as we were in the past.  It has snuck up on us (smile).

We still need about $3000 for fees and travel.  This is such a beautiful number compared to where it was just days ago!!! ($13,000)  We all know $3000 in three weeks is nothing compared to what God can and has done in our journey.

I have not started sorting clothes or buying what is needed.  I haven't started hitting the yard sales.  We are guessing 2T -3T for a 25 to 27 lb little one.  (Any guidance here is LOVED!!!)

UPDATE: Within minutes of posting on Facebook, asking people to keep and eye out, a friend messaged me and is getting this stroller for Timothy.  I'm am overwhelmed at everyone's kindness and God's Provision.

We have been looking for a stroller to fit Timothy's specific needs.  It has to have a fairly long foot rest that can lock straight up (and is very light).  We've narrowed it down to one stroller (Maclaren Quest with long foot rest) that seems to fit his needs.  We'd like to find one used.   If we can, we need to take it to China with us.  With his legs most likely locked in a straight position, this is something that will benefit him (and us) while he undergoes any surgeries.  We have a wagon, but it doesn't fold up.  Please let us know if you see this used somewhere!!!!

Maclaren Quest

So this is where we are at.  Possibility of three weeks from Monday and prep is in high gear!

Thank you all for supporting and praying us through this!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are the prayers that we put before you.  The financial information is below.
1. We pray for God to be glorified and magnified.  That this adoption may move others hearts for HIM.  That HE may use this journey to draw people into Him and spur people to adopt.
2. Please pray for all the paperwork to be correct, without mistake, in this adoption.
3.Please pray that the paperwork we are waiting for (IF it is God's Will) is given with joy...soon.
4. We are praying very specifically for $13,000 to complete Timothy's adoption.  We ask for prayers that it comes quickly and is so obviously GOD (which we think in ANY case it would be obvious...smile).   The funds we need feels like we need the cattle on a thousand hills.  Please pray this "cattle" comes in.
5. Please pray that Timothy is protected and prepared to attach easier than could ever be expected.  That God implants us on his heart and that he is given dreams of us.   That his fear is minimal when he meets us, but that it be because he KNOWS us.
6. Please pray our time in country is peaceful, without illness (which often happens), safe, but most importantly...may it be a time of ministering to others.  May we have the opportunity to reach people for Jesus.  Please also pray our family here has a time of peace and safety while we are apart...and that we come back together quickly.
7. Please pray protection for our family, that the master of lies is blinded, deafened, and silenced.  Please pray for the health of every member of our family (especially Thomas, that he is completely healed). Please pray (IF God Wills) that we have a year of peace and deliverance.  That we may be able to use this year to minister to our children and others.
8. Please pray that the fixes we need to make to our home (misc.) can be done quickly, financially taken care of somehow.  That someone's heart may be touched and the fixes done.
9. Please pray for energy for Thomas and I.  The stress of the last year has taken it's toll.  We've stopped focusing on health and we need to be.  We need to get weight off that was gained over this period (for our health and endurance).   The recovered energy, from the battle of this last year, would be such a blessing.
10. I would like to ask for a prayer for the children. They have gone through a lot this last year, only half of which I've shared here.  My heart yearns for joy, for fun, for a time of lightheartedness and a time of refreshing for them....a time where they can just be children and not worry, just for a bit. The kids have just been heavy on my heart. This is just my mama heart speaking
11. Please pray we hear God clearly and obey Him promptly.
  1. Our newest was 26lbs and 3T almost fell off. He has no butt. Or wait...has an old mans behind. 2t with 3t shirts we're a good combo.
In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.
Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
