Prayer Night Tonight 9:00 PM CST

  • I'm home with the kids.  Thomas' blood tests are improving.  THANK YOU LORD!   They are most likely keeping him another night. There is something that is giving them pause still.  They are leaning toward this being both bacterial and viral.  Thank you for your continued prayers.

Well, it's Monday.  This is the day of blessing for us.  This is a day that many of you are joining in prayer (9:00 pm CST)  for Timothy and for our family.  Thank you...

This is also the official date our Article 5 (the next step in Timothy's adoption) will be submitted.

This little guy matters....and that you are standing with us SCREAMS that.

He's not a number or just someone else's child.  He's across the world.  He's our son.

This picture is my favorite (even with his eyes closed).  That sweet smile.  It was the first time we saw it.  Oh my mama heart explodes.  Tears come pretty readily when see his smile.  (I am literally shaking my head trying to clear that passionate parental love that is fogging my thoughts when I look at this.)

He is our little elf, our little sparrow, our little son.  It makes me smile thinking just how prayed for he is...a lost little one...ignored. NOT ANY MORE! That is SO powerful!!!

Thank you for joining with with families across the globe in prayer tonight at 9pm CST.

Why are we doing this?  Last year was hard.  I think it was especially hard on the children.  As you know the attacks started the day after we knew God spoke of another son for our family.

Go for your son.

God spoke life into our hearts that day.  We had fear.  We had questions, but we also had absolute knowledge this was God.

Through watching my daughter have a seizure, God was there.
Through the ambulance ride, God was there.
Through another grand-mal seizure and hospitalization, God was there.
Through my husband's emergency surgery, God was there.
Through my mom's repeat hospitalizations, God was there.
Through our kitchen continually being flooded by the washing machine, God was there.
Through a beautiful wedding, God was there.
Through a daughters allergic reaction and ER visit, God was there.
Through a broken rib, God was there.
Through the dish washer breaking and spraying the kitchen, God was there.
Through (we believe) lightening hitting our tree, God was there.
Through two totaled cars, God was there.
Through the blow us away gift of another car, God was there.
Through the dryer breaking, God was there.
Through our son becoming engaged, God was there.
Through the air conditioner raining in our kitchen, God was there.

This is only a small portion of last year.  This is only the portion I can share...there were many hard and painful things.

We are now entering the last phase of our adoption of Timothy....and we need the prayer.  We need the war to be fought together with other Christians.  We feel this intense knowledge that we cannot do this alone.  Thank you.

An "I got your back" friend asked me how long was the prayer time supposed to be.  Friends, this is as the Spirit leads you.  The length...the words...it's God's.  We have some requests.  We have needs to war with friends for.  We ask, if you would, to stand with us in agreement in prayer, but first and foremost following God in this.

Thank you for honoring us.  Thank you for taking your time for a little boy and a bit weary family.

These are the prayers that we put before you.

1. We pray for God to be glorified and magnified.  That this adoption may move others hearts for HIM.  That HE may use this journey to draw people into Him and spur people to adopt.

2. Please pray for all the paperwork to be correct, without mistake, in this adoption.

3.Please pray that the paperwork we are waiting for (IF it is God's Will) is given with joy...soon.

4. We are praying very specifically for $13,000 to complete Timothy's adoption.  We ask for prayers that it comes quickly and is so obviously GOD (which we think in ANY case it would be obvious...smile).   The funds we need feels like we need the cattle on a thousand hills.  Please pray this "cattle" comes in.

5. Please pray that Timothy is protected and prepared to attach easier than could ever be expected.  That God implants us on his heart and that he is given dreams of us.   That his fear is minimal when he meets us, but that it be because he KNOWS us.

6. Please pray our time in country is peaceful, without illness (which often happens), safe, but most importantly...may it be a time of ministering to others.  May we have the opportunity to reach people for Jesus.

7. Please pray protection for our family, that the master of lies is blinded, deafened, and silenced.  Please pray for the health of every member of our family (especially Thomas, that he is completely healed). Please pray (IF God Wills) that we have a year of peace and deliverance.  That we may be able to use this year to minister to our children and others.

8. Please pray that the fixes we need to make to our home (misc.) can be done quickly, financially taken care of somehow.  That someone's heart may be touched and the fixes done.

9. Please pray for energy for Thomas and I.  The stress of the last year has taken it's toll.  We've stopped focusing on health and we need to be.  We need to get weight off that was gained over this period (for our health and endurance).   The recovered energy, from the battle of this last year, would be such a blessing.

10. Please pray we hear God clearly and obey Him promptly.

This is the first time we know.  This is the first time we know when and where everyone is battling for us.  Thank you for meeting us tonight, whether across the world, in your living room, or next door.  Thank you.  Thank you for remembering us.  I'd like to do this again someday...for some many of you that are going through so much.   Thank you friends....

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15

And Jesus answered them, "Truly, I say to you, if you have faith anddo not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. Matthew 21:21

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
