Deer in Headlights

That is what I feel like right now.  Frozen....a tad scared (which is silly)...like pulling the covers over my head.

Yup, how's that for bravery?

God works and is working, though HE is bigger than what my human mind can understand.  How He works is not always the instant click of the fingers that sometimes we long for....because HE sees the big picture, the spiritual war, and what we need to learn.

I'm learning, but this is not easy stuff.  You'd think after having gone through this in adoption so many times I wouldn't feel fear.  I wouldn't get occasionally discouraged.  You'd think I'd learn. GOD IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL.

I gotta tell you though.  As I become an adult I understand Biblical events a lot better.  It's amazing how obviously God works, and how quickly we forget when the next hurdle happens.

"And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness,  and the people of Israel said to them, 'Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.' "  Exodus 16:2-3

The people of Israel were grumbling after that had seen the red sea PART.  WHAT?!!!

Strangely, I get that now.  We forget so quickly at times...God's provision....God's miracles

It's very relatable to child birth.  Labor hurts.  It is so painful, but (after time passes) we find that the memory dims with time.

I see this picture, from before Jael came home and I wonder how in the world I could forget.

God has got us to our children...through insurmountable mountains of finances and governments.  He got us there.

Thank you so much to those who have given! We are so close to sending the check that was due last week.  I am blown away by the love and prayers that have poured down on us.  A week an a half ago, we had none of the $9070.00 due yesterday.  We are now only $1455.00 short.  That amazes me and blows me away.

Though we have a long way to go still ($3000.00 & $9000.00-$10,000), God is providing.  He is working in ways we can't see and can't fathom.

We actually have some things going on that, though not bad, are involved financially.  I cannot wait to share, but we go forward prayerfully...step by step.

We ask for continued prayer...battling on our behalf.  This is vital.  That is one lesson we learned REALLY early along.

For now we wait...and pray...and prepare to rejoice!

If you scroll down to the end, you can see some sweet blogs our friends have written to support us.

When all the nation had finished passing over the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, “Take twelve men from the people, from each tribe a man,  and command them, saying, ‘Take twelve stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan, from the very place where the priests' feet stood firmly, and bring them over with you and lay them down in the place where you lodge tonight.’” Then Joshua called the twelve men from the people of Israel, whom he had appointed, a man from each tribe. And Joshua said to them, “Pass on before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up each of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the people of Israel,  that this may be a sign among you. When your children ask in time to come, ‘What do those stones mean to you?’  then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.” Joshua 4:1-8

I cannot wait to set up our memorial stones to remember how God worked....to remember HIS miracles.  The first one will be a special little boy named Timothy.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
