Normally, people look at me and think, "That girl probably needs a little isolation!"

As I'm sprawled all over the couch sick, several other children stretched out around me in need of my Lysol wrist shooters and the loud cacophony of laughter (with a little chaos thrown in) echoing off the walls.....

I think of what a rough month it has been.

It has been lonely and isolating.  Not just isolating from others with hospital stays, but from each other in many ways.

Until one day, riding to the senior class meeting in another city, I sat with Amber in "The Beast" (our 12 passenger van). We started talking about the isolation.  With much laughter and conversations I won't repeat (incriminating), a theme of satan's attacks seems to be coming to the forefront....

It rang true in our spirits. This is being used on many Christian brothers and sisters.

Isolation, even if just a feeling and not physically, seems to be screaming from the recesses of darkness.

Struggles.... no one is sharing the burden of...deep core pain...isolation.

Job loss, drug addiction, financial troubles, divorce, inadequacy, undiagnosed illness, cancer, pay reduction, warring for our children, hospitalizations, physical pain, relationships breaking, insidious sin, family struggles, death, attacks, guilt, shame, more feelings of not being good enough, feeling of having sinned to much.....

No, I'm not exaggerating.  Every one of these has been shared with me privately over the last few weeks.

We're forgetting though...forgetting several things we absolutely cannot.

No matter how much satan will try to isolate you, GOD has created His Hands and Feet on earth.  His Hugs often come through other humans.  God did not mean for us to stand isolated.

"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,  so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." Romans 12:4-5

Our relationship with others is patterned (or should be) with the foundational relationship...our relationship with God.  We are made in HIS image.

"So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27

HE has made us to remain connected and relying on each other.

Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.  And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.  If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?  But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be?  As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,  and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
I Corinthians 12:15-26

I want to remind those of  you who are slowly being isolated from spouses, family, friends...
to do something you know you need to.  Let someone/s close to you carry this burden with you.  Let someone pray with you and for you.  Don't (even with illness or physical isolation) buy in the master of lies.  Often times people will think you have it together and/or are struggling themselves.  Reach out...

I want give a reminder to those of you who are hearing satan's whisperings. He cuts you...making you think you've done too much for grace. He bombards you into thinking you've done too much for God to answer you.  Remember...... King David (2 Samuel 11)....Paul ( Acts 22:2-21)...

This is a lie...a lie of isolation, so you won't talk to others around you...so you will feel isolated from even God.

Seek God

Keep Praying

Keep in God's Word

Lean/Seek Others...Shatter the Isolation

You are not alone.  God, our Father In Heaven, LOVES you.  You may know that, but you need to be told that.  You need to HEAR that.

He chose YOU for what HE has put before you and HE does NOT make mistakes.  HE is not saying, "Woops...My Bad!"

Don't let "Divide and Conquer" work on  you.  YOU WERE MADE FOR MORE.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
