Verse and One in Three

I don't know why I get verses of the day on my phone when I don't get Internet on it right now, but I do and daily they have been a direct blessing.

Do you remember my last post?
"Please keep us in your prayers (intensely) today.
For Ben?  Calmness,  peace that passes understanding, and a settled stomach…also, flat out, please pray that he doesn’t self-harm or try to harm us.  For Mommy and Steve? Strength and peace that passes understanding…."

Here is the "Verse of the Day" that came to my phone...

"May the Lord give strength to His people! May the Lord bless His people with peace!" Psalm 29:11

GOD IS SO EVER PRESENT!

On another note.....

I opened up a book today and it said, "The devil is a bureaucrat."

I must admit, though I may not have said it the same way, I had to laugh.

We are going on day three (tomorrow) of our one day trip.

Day One: (YESTERDAY) Facilitator calls down to office two hours away to see if we need a specific paper...repeatedly.  We are told we do not.

We get to the birth certificate office to find out a court order (we had seen previously, though not there) was not at the office which they HAD to have for the new birth certificate to be issued.  They had just moved and it was most likely lost in the shuffle.  THIS WAS NOT GOOD.  We didn't realize how huge until our facilitator told us later.  She called her connections, we ran to the court there and got a notarized paper and brought it back to the office.

They then proceeded to tell us that we needed the paper from the small town we are staying in that they said repeatedly that we don't need.  We went home with a stimming and very car sick little boy.

Day Two: (TODAY...Supposed to happen on Day One) We went to the office in our small town and they said they needed info from the office in the city we needed to go to again.  We'll call it "O".  They received it by email and then needed more information and another email.  about two hours later we received the completed paperwork that we were told we didn't "need" the first day.  We decided not to take Ben, as we couldn't make it to the passport office (not time) and that is what he needed to be there for.  We drove to "O" and after another payment and a notary (and a couple of hours) we received the revised birth certificate.  We couldn't have done any of this without our wonderful facilitator.

We then went to one of two offices to get a new tax number.  They stayed late for us...very thankful.

Day Three (TOMORROW): We will pick up Ben at 7:30 in the morning.  We head two hours a way to "O".  We head to the passport office there.  THIS PASSPORT SEEMS TO BE THE KEY TO ALMOST EVERYTHING.  Please pray the passport is processed quicker than thought and we are able to BE home by a week from Friday.

A good part of the drive looks like this.

Our Driver and Facilitator

They are everywhere...stalking us.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for the exact same prayer request from above.  PLEASE PRAY...I'm not even listing any more requests in this post (below like I normally do....besides asking you to cover my brother, sister-in-law, and niece in prayer for safety).  That's how much we need it...

  1. Sooo, I guess this can be considered hard labor as you birth Benjamin officially into your family? :) I know y'all must feel so very tired and frustrated. I don't know how well I would have handled it. Probably okay in front of the office personnel, but back in the car and with my travel companions? Oh, not so good. (Usually tears of frustration, followed by a lot of sarcasm) Thankful little Benjamin didn't have to go through that all day.
Praying now (just realized, it's probably about that time of morning for you!)that it will ALL be resolved today. Peace and calmness for the little man. Prayers of thankfulness for your wonderful facilitator and for people willing to do a little extra to get the job done. Praying, praying!
Hugs and love from your home state!

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
