Our Miraculous Daughter

After two and a half hours of waiting as the surgery progressed, our family (including mom and Uncle Steve)...

as well as Amber, Bryan, Lexi, Farrah, and Hannah...and Alvis (who came in the morning) and Bryant (in other words a very full waiting room)....

and all our friends praying and texting and loving....

...had to wait no longer.

Our pager went off.

We were told Jael came through surgery wonderfully.  It could not have gone better.  We know who was behind, in front of, and all about this....GOD.  Her legs and sutures look great.

We waited a little bit longer....and the pager went off again.

She was crying, her stomach hurt...and vomiting in recovery.

Yet, there was no worry at this point...only pure joy.  Now we get to the good stuff...healing...walking...and running.

Jael quickly dozed in her room as loved ones came to peek at her.

Now even the nurses are amazed.  She pulled up her gown and said, "Hey Mommy! Look at my legs!" with a smile.  Her tone was like, "This is cool!"

Yes, she has an epidural and therefore little pain, but the nurse said she hasn't seen a little one like this before.

We know who to thank...Our Heavenly Father.

Please keep praying.  She will have some pain and learning ahead.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
