Insomnia Stalker and Peek A Boo

His name was insomnia and he stalked us last night.

At 2:30 am my husband gave into the stalker and went to the couch with his work laptop.  At 3:00 am I followed suit.  I have no clue why we couldn't sleep, but I know God used it.  We sat in the living room, snuggled up on the couch talking until around 4:00 am.  We hit some pretty deep stuff, very much stuff embedded deep within our hearts...big stuff.  Please continue to pray for absolute clarity for us.

Though my husband didn't make it back to bed (dozed maybe around 6:00 am), I TRIED to sleep (it didn't work very well).

Of course even being this tired, bills needed to be paid today.

Side note: I apologize to those we do business with if our checks are signed Batman.

Also (of course) we ended up having to spend some of the day...guess where?

Does he look guilty or what?

He did this almost the entire time.

You guessed it.  We hit the local ER clinic (not ER, but the small ones you find scattered around) with Bekah having a fever and Gabe not feeling so hot....

I know, you would never guess they felt bad by the pictures.

It was late enough in the day we needed to go somewhere close that didn't require an appointment. Our local ER Clinic is great and costs only our $25 co-pay.

We have a winner too.  Bekah has Strep and Gabe has a completely unrelated virus.

(*head on desk*)

It's now time for bed.  Jael is doing wonderful and only needs Ibuprofen around midnight every night.  She continues to heal and be such a testimony to GOD's goodness.

Please continue to pray that (where they pulled the drain on her right leg) the small spot well as for general healing and infection to be kept away.  Prayers for our family are great too ;).

Since I am (yet again) falling asleep writing, I'll leave you guys with thanks, hugs, and a little "Peek A Boo".

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

  1. just wanted you to know my husband specifically asked about Jael and wanted me to let you know he's been thinking about her and praying. Sorry you've got some sickness among the kids.
And glad you and Thomas had some time together for really meaningful grownup talk.
Y'all are doing great...all of you! God bless you in this and in things to come.
    Love you!

  2. Thankful for the time you and Thomas got to connect even as I pray for you both to get some rest. This sickness--crazy how it always hits at the worst times!! (you know, like after surgery and as school is starting! grrr)

And the pictures, lol, that little Gabe just makes me smile! :)

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
