It looks like the signs of possible infection are turning into definite signs of infection.

Jael's left leg, which has been just beautiful with no discharge since it decided to "kick the drain out" (the drain just fell out) looks "angrier" and a tad swollen around the stitches.  There is also discharge (little bigger than a quarter size of blood/discharge).  She also now has a temp of 99.7 which in our others wouldn't be concerning at all (and we wouldn't consider a temperture really), but Jael's temp never hits 99 at all...and with this...concerning.  We do have Strep and a virus in the house, so Jael may have just caught it.

They are starting her on antibiotics and talking to her surgeon who comes in at 6:00 tonight.  We will be heading down there tomorrow anyway.

Please continue to pray that infection goes and stays away (we were told this was the most dangerous part of the surgery...infection)....and for complete healing.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

  1. Lord, we thank you for the purity of your Grace infusion as you dilute and cast out this intrusion to healing from Jael's beautiful leg. Your Glory is again our gift! Amen.

  2. Oh no, Definately praying against this!!

  3. Praying--trusting the Lord has this!

(and we have strep here too--must be that time of year or something!)

  4. Praying for infection to go away and fever to leave. Thankful you can start the antibiotics and see the surgeon tomorrow.

  5. I put lots of hope in the effectiveness of antibiotics. I put even more hope in God's healing power! Praying.

  6. ACK! No, no, no! Will certainly be praying for COMPLETE healing with no more infection!!!

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
