Call Me George, School, the Rash, and a Little Celebration

Yesterday....yesterday kicked me across the street and called me George.  Seriously, it was tough for some reason.

For one it was the first day OFFICIALLY back to home schooling from our break.  For some reason the first day is always...well, truthfully....like banging my head against the wall...repeatedly.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE home schooling!!!  The first day back though, everyone forgets what they knew.  It's like we need some brain weight lifting to get back in the groove.

Today was awesome.  Sometimes it takes up to a week to do enough brain push ups to seriously accomplish much.    Not this week...

Yes, we do have two teens, but cameras scare them ;) .

The little ones eventually crashed though...or at least Jael did.  Think it was the Benadryl that did it for Jael.

As we worked up time with the compression "socks" yesterday (forming her limbs for new prosthesis), Lil' Miss broke out in a rash on her legs.  She has sensitive skin, but this is looking like a allergic reaction.  She's REALLY itching too.

Since we can't alleviate the itching with a special bath, we resorted to hydrocortisone cream and Benadryl.  So far so good....

Now we just watch it....

The Prosthetist said to ditch the compression socks (done) and that her limbs would be ready for casting even without the compressions socks.  THIS is exciting...in less than a week, molds will be taken for Jael's new legs.  Wow...just wow...

Now for a couple of other celebrations in my heart...

I just saw a picture of my friend's FIVE beautiful boys with DS (from Bulgaria).  THREE of which just arrived home!  They were raised in a nightmarish place...no joke...the stories are shattering.  They are now surrounded by love.  My heart is giving a happy sigh....

A friend Cathy shared with me that her grandaughter with SERIOUS kidney issues since birth has been HEALED!!! God is so very good!!!

Today, today thirteen years ago I was watching a (now sixteen year old) boy named Matthew while his mom had one of THE most precious little girls.  Happy 13th Birthday Macey!!!!  We may live across the U.S., but we love you dearly!!!!  Don't give your mom too much stress in the teen years.  Ignore boys (wink) they're trouble.

Just a few seconds ago I received a text that Lexi (awesome amazing teen we LOVE) made the Praise Team she had tried out for! Congrats you beautiful girl!!!!!

Thank you all for the prayers! Let us know how we can pray for you and if we can post your request to our "Prayer Requests" tab.  It's an honor to kneel with you and for you in prayer.

Please continue to pray...
*...for Jael's complete healing and her rash to disappear and not come back.
*...for Jael to take off on her new prosthetics when the time comes.
*...for God to lead Thomas and I very specifically (to knock us over the head...smile) so that we may know what HIS will is (concerning a cool/serious/heart rending situation).
*...for a bloggy friend's daughter who just today underwent a VERY serious operation.

Thank you friends for joining us in the amazing journey.  We are praying and celebrating with you all.

May your day be filled with the rays of the SON.

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
