The Heart of a Daughter

Yesterday we had a yard sale with some friends. It was to (mostly) benefit our bills.

Our Anna had different idea. Her eleven year old heart decided that she wanted to raise money for a the children on Reece's Rainbow.

She baked cookies like crazy with her Grandma and raided her toys, to sell all she could.

Another two precious girls, Hannah and Farrah, sold lemonade to help the orphans in Africa.  Their hearts are as big as Africa itself.

They worked hard, poured their hearts into it.   Anna celebrated as she brought an orphan about $40 closer to a family.

The heart of our daughter is big.  There is no "Mom, our house is too full.  I have too much responsibility."  Anna has a heart for God and a love for the children who have yet to be absorbed by family and marinated in love.

As I write this, all I want to do is hug her.

How God could bless us so much is beyond me (smile).

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
