One Year Ago Today~Journey to Gabe and Rachel

At this time, one year ago, we were on our last leg of travel. The trip back from Ethiopia was rough. I still haven't been able to write the whole story. Maybe by the twins birthday in August...

It's unbelievable that it's been a year since G'Dawg and Her Sweetness came home. One year...

They've changed a lot, haven't they? They came home, both very sick little ones. Gabe had a fairly uncommon allergy to both milk and soy and had bumps over his entire body. Rachel couldn't keep anything down. It was a little scary.

They've come a LONG way. If you would like to read about just how far our little ones have come, you can click on the link below. You will have to scroll down and read from the last post to the one on the top of the page in order to read them sequentially.
Traveling to Bring Home Our Blessings

This day will forever be etched in our hearts as the day we became a family.

On July 3rd, 2010...Rachel, Gabe, Daddy, Mommy,Tom, and Sarah walked (or were carried...smile) off a plane from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia...and joined at home Anna, Max, Bekah, Grandma, and Uncle Steve....and became a family.

"I will sing the LORD’s praise, for He has been good to me." Psalm 13:6

  2. Wow, a year already!! That has gone by so fast--and it's almost a year for us too!! Can't believe it (shaking head). How very precious they are and what amazing changes they have undergone in these last 12 months. It rather boggles my mind, to be honest!

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
