Friend's Loss of A Child....Adoption Prayers

I want to come to my friends today and ask them for prayers. Though we always cherish prayers for our adoption, we have some very special people this week that are hurting.

**Just added an emergency prayer request at the end of this blog.**

Two sets of people we care very much about have suffered failed adoptions this week...one domestically and one internationally. Though some may say that there are other children out there, it's much more than that. This is their miscarriage. This child that they expected to hold in their arms. They saw pictures of in some cases, and knew for months. The thought that they will not be snuggling into their chests at night is extremely hard. This is very painful and I'm asking those that may read this, to hold them up in prayer.

Please pray for these two families. Please pray for comfort and peace. Please pray that God helps them to feel the hope in the future plans He has for their families.

To protect their privacy I'm only calling them "S's family" and "The C family". God knows who they are...lovely children of Him.

This prayer request just came on one of my Yahoo Groups. The need for prayer is immediate and is an emergency situation.

A Christian family arrived back from Ethiopia last night with Ethiopian adopted daugher, who has spina bifida and hydrocephalus. She had surgery on her back this morning with the intent to put a shunt in to drain the brain fluid. They were not able to put the shunt in due to the excessive bleeding on her back. They didn't think the baby would survive the trip but she did. Please pray for God's grace to save her life and for strength for their family.

  1. Yes, you are so right. It's still a loss--deeply felt. I strongly believe God ties our heartstrings to one another through prayer, and when we pray for our child. . .we LOVE that child--that child becomes a child of our heart even if we never get to hold him or her. Thank you so much for your prayers--they are felt!!!

In the joy of following our Heavenly Father, we sometimes choose to proceed with a whisper, a verse, or a downright shove...no matter how we follow Him, the momentum that follows is like nothing we've ever experienced before.

Join the momentum...it is a beautiful place to be. It's not always easy, but then the best things never are.
